State vs Federal Courts
State court jury pay varies by state and often by county. Federal courts pay a uniform $50/day ($60 after 10 days) regardless of which state you're in. If summoned for federal court, you'll receive federal rates.
Employer Requirements
Most states don't require employers to pay wages during jury duty, but all states require employers to allow time off. Several states (CT, MA, NY, CO, NE, TN) mandate employer pay for at least part of jury service.
